    College Football

since everyone is posting LPD predictions and such, i figured id see if we can get a discussion about the real football season starting Sept. 2

here's a couple games of note and my predictions...post your own

Marshall v.s. WVU - good in-state game that starts WVU's brutal schedule...Marshall could sneak up and bite them though if Ahmad Bradshaw has a good game

    my prediction: WVU by 15+

Bowling Green v.s. Wisconsin - they did it to Oklahoma last year and Omar Jacobs has another shot to do it again...Wisconsin should be better prepared though and will win a fairly close one

    my prediction: Wisconsin by 10+

Stanford v.s. Oregon - two players to watch in Jonathan Stewart (Oregon) and Ekom Udofia (Stanford), both should have really good years for their respective programs and should be a pretty good game to watch

    my prediction: Oregon by 17+

Memphis v.s. Ole Miss - Brent Schaeffer's first game back...Memphis lost DeAngelo but return a pretty decent team who should contend for C-USA title

my prediction: Ole Miss by 15-

California v.s. Tennessee - one of the better match-ups of the day...UT looks to bounce back after last year's debacle and have to do it against a tough RB in Lynch

    my prediction: UT by 10-

Notre Dame v.s. Georgia Tech - Notre Dame is listed very high on a lot of charts so their first couple of games are gonna be important to tell if they're really back as the old ND or just another case like when Willingham was there...ND's pass defense ranked 103rd in the nation last year, not something you like to see when your next opponent is gonna be a very experienced QB and then some guy named Calvin Johnson...but give Weis 6 months to gameplan for anyone and it's gonna be a W

my prediction: Notre Dame by 10-

Kentucky v.s. Louisville - in-state rivalry is usually a good game but UK is outmatched in this game, despite a very good recruiting class

    my prediction: Louisville by 20+

USC v.s. Arkansas - Arkansas should be the surprise team of the SEC this year but a match-up with USC, even without Bush, Leinart and White, isn't gonna produce a W

    my prediction: USC by 15+

    Game of the Week
Miami v.s. FSU - Miami has 4 players suspended including RB Tyrone Moss...that alone should be a big factor in the game, although when these two get together it's a very close game and a defensive battle

    my prediction: FSU by 10-

    Re: College Football

Coker has lost 2 games in his whole career by more than 6 points. The odds of fsu beating them by 10 is very slim. Not even putting FSU down, both teams will be lucky to score 20 combined. Not to mention Moss wasnt even going to play so I dont see how it matters if he is suspended or not. Shields 2 practices have been better than Ryan Moore's whole career. This game is going to be a defensive struggle. Probably the team that makes the least amount of mistakes wins. I believe the canes will block alot better, large in part because of scheme and simply because Bunkley and Wimbley arent there anymore. Should be a good game.

I am afraid you might be right, but I hope not. If UT's interior D comes through they will be ok. They are a little young, but the secondary should be good. Of course, I think UT's O is suspect right now, I think they will be okay against a Pac-10 defense like Cal's.

    Re: College Football

If Cal gets their running game started, which I believe will happen, then they will pick UT's secondary apart.

    Re: College Football

That is exactly why I said if UT's interior D holds up. They have some good talent inside, its just gaining the experience right now.
